Why the exact model helps

A family name such as “iPhone” or “Galaxy” can cover many devices. Screen assemblies, connectors and other parts can differ between generations and variants. Giving the full model helps start the conversation about suitable repair options.

Send the model name and, if available, its model code. You do not need to publish your IMEI or serial number to start a general enquiry.

On an iPhone or iPad

Open Settings → General → About. Look for the model details. Apple explains that the entry next to Model Number initially shows a part number; tap it to reveal the model number.

On Samsung and other Android devices

On Samsung phones, open Settings → About phone to see the model information. Menu wording varies with the device and software version. Samsung’s official identification guide shows where to look.

For other Android devices, check the About phone or About tablet area, or use your manufacturer’s support instructions. Record the brand, full model name and model code if shown. Our Samsung and other Android pages can guide your next enquiry.

If the screen will not work

Check the original box, purchase receipt or your existing device records for the model description. Make sure the packaging belongs to that device. Do not open the device just to identify it.

If you still cannot identify it, describe what you know and ask for help. A clear photo of the device may help later; crop out personal information and unique identifiers before sharing it. The enquiry form accepts a text description and does not upload photos.
